March 8th Update


This week a lot of level designs and greyboxing has been done! We also starting rigging and texturing the main characters and the NPC's.

Levels

-The Docks: Even has created a great greybox level for the docks. Cubie can have fun running and swinging around the land of greyboxes. 

-The Sewers: Mariah has created a cool and dark tutorial level with the sewers. 

-The Rooftops: Branson and Brendon are hard at work creating a vertical and challenging rooftops level that requires the player to master the mechanics of grappling and hovering with the grappling hook and jet pack! 

-The Final Arena: In the final area Mariah has greyboxed out a level that shows the true power of Doctor Botany! Plus a secert room that players can access under specials circumstances. 

Mechanics

Sone amount of progress has been made on the mechanics of Iconic Cube Adventure by Govan. In the current Unreal Engine build players can now:

- Gather collectable using the new collectable system has been implemented that shows the player the amount of leaves they collect in a stage. 

Art

Some concept art has been created over the last week. Included in this update:

-Concept art from Branson shows the rooftops level design.

-Bronions are almost done being textured.

-Cubie has been modeled, textured and rigged. 

-Using a new rendering process the artstyle is coming together perfectly. 

-Mariah has modeled the evil Doctor Botany and his underlings Bronions.
